We look at thousands of houses here at Mansion Homes and if one this is for certain – there are some really huge homes in the US. Let me start by saying the number one house on the list is 135,000 square feet! This list is of the largest homes in the United States, as stated on Wikipedia and verified by other mansions website. Many of these are historic homes, but there are some rather large new mega mansions also.

This is the largest list of the largest houses in the United States and this description is about to get even larger! These mega mansions are over 100,000 square feet! These mansion houses have been ranked officially by Wikipedia. These structures are still standing today and must not have been demolished. Some of these enormous homes have been turned into tourist attractions or museums but in order to qualify from this list, this has to be a mansion home or house at some point in history. We’ve also researched each of the largest houses in the United States to give you a short description about each one, the owners and what it does today.
