Description: “Neatly tucked away on a quiet cul-de-sac, the Ray house is the manifestation of a truly unique concept, endless space. With 3 beds, 3.5 baths, office, artist loft, & tropical koi pond included in this expansive single level 4900 sq ft home that has 20 ft floor to ceiling glass walls capturing the amazing views of the ocean, downtown La Jolla, and the golf course. Internationally acclaimed designer Wallace Cunningham has created a contemporary masterpiece. Wallace Cunningham has created a masterpiece by assimilating a stylish, ultra-contemporary, luxury estate, with a livable home thats connected to its natural surroundings.
The details throughout the home are quite unique. A master bedroom that has two major openings, one a disappearing door, and another that pivots to become a wall. Over sized doorways, hallways that feel more like a garden stroll, or a visit to an art gallery, this estate is far from ordinary. The cabinets throughout the property are inset, and blend into the walls seamlessly. Beautiful hand laid rust stone flooring; fine granite counter tops and recessed wall lights greet you throughout the home. Every detail is a part of the whole experience. The powder room is so far from traditional, with an open concept that captures a skyward view. There are disappearing doors, furniture like the dining room table thats placed in a fixed position, flanked by glittering crushed glass fire feature. The Romeo and Juliet tower is perfect for an artists retreat.
A remarkable tropical koi pond, and babbling brook water feature complete the backyard. The copper doors uniquely open to a completed garage complete with built in cabinets. Gazing upon the majestic Pacific Ocean, picture an awe inspiring, stately structure that unites both nature and contemporary architecture in a timeless embrace. From the second you set your eyes on this bold and dynamic estate, one can appreciate the superior craftsmanship throughout. This barrier free design takes visitors on journey which begins with a fully enclosed courtyard entrance that opens up to the coastal expanse.”
