Max Azria is a Tunisian fashion designer who founded the contemporary women’s clothing brand BCBG Max Azria. After 11 years of designing women’s apparel in Paris he moved to Los Angeles, California in 1981. His beautiful estate is now up for sale.
Trulia describes the house as, ‘One of LA’s most spectacular estates. It is elegantly situated on three picturesque acres in Holmby Hills – the crown jewel of LA’s “Platinum Triangle”. Originally designed in the 1930s by legendary architect Paul Williams, who helped shape the landscape of classic Hollywood, the iconic 60-room residence adeptly merges classic architecture with contemporary design and modern lifestyle. The 30,000-square-foot estate comprises 17 bedrooms, 22 baths and every amenity imaginable, from a luxurious Moroccan bath house to a 6,000-square-foot movie theatre. The modern, open floor …plan seamlessly blends indoor and outdoor living, with every room drawing in the outdoors and capturing commanding views of the resplendent grounds, which feature five distinctly enchanting gardens. With all of its scale and grandeur, however, there is a warm, welcoming intimacy to every corner of the home, making it a noble retreat for family life and a remarkable setting for large-scale entertaining.’
