Grimaud is a village and commune in the Var department in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur region in southeastern France.
It is located on the French Riviera. The village of Grimaud is a perched village, with historical links to the Grimaldi family. Gibelin de Grimaldi aided William the Good drive the Saracens of Fraxinet out of the area in AD 973 and was rewarded with the land. The village is dominated by its 11th-century castle (partially restored). The Gulf of Saint Tropez was known as the Gulf of Grimaud until the end of the 19th century. The seaside town of Port Grimaud lies within the commune, at the head of the gulf.
The French Riviera is a major yachting and cruising area with several marinas along its coast. According to the Côte d’Azur Economic Development Agency, each year the Riviera hosts 50% of the world’s superyacht fleet, with 90% of all superyachts visiting the region’s coast at least once in their lifetime. As a tourist centre it benefits from 300 days of sunshine per year, 115 kilometres (71 mi) of coastline and beaches, 18 golf courses, 14 ski resorts and 3,000 restaurants.
Description: “A very lovely 360m2 contemporary residential property in Domaine de Beauvallon-Bartole.
Lying on more than 3,000 m2 of land, this two-storey villa has a living room that measures more than 80m2 and is bathed in light. The room is amply spaced and faces the Gulf of St Tropez, its size being matched the quality of the open-plan kitchen adjacent to it and the pleasant wine cellar. 4 guest bedrooms, each boasting their own bathroom, offer wonderful routes to the private garden. The majestic master suite offers a living and washing area that has been tactfully arranged to complement rather than clutter the generous layout.
Outside, the covered, retractable terrace promises unforgettable summer evenings by a 25m2 Jacuzzi and, just below, a private swimming lane. A large 100m2 garage for 6 cars and numerous green amenity areas. An adorable gem for cultivated vines and games of pétanque.”
