It’s Friday and Cozy Cabin Week continues here on Mansion Homes! We thought we’d show you a not-so-cozy, enormous monstrosity of a cabin owned by a billionaire. Jon Huntsman, Jr. is an American Politician, former Utah Governor and 2016 presidential hopeful. His dad, Jon Huntsman Sr., owns this amazing Park City, Utah cabin and is selling it for a reasonable $34 million price tag (it was once valued over $60 million).
The 12 bedroom cabin is basically huge, covering 22,000 square feet in all. With 60 acres, a personal library and a 28 car garage, this thing is amazing. At one time, this was the most expensive ski home for sale in Utah and is located in the swanky Upper Deer Valley. The wood work inside is breathtaking. There’s an indoor pool, game room and even a hot tub. The problem with these mega mansions is that they just don’t sell. If you are a billionaire, and you plan on building one of these you better plan to hold onto it a long while, this one has been on the market since 2009.
From the listing: “Tucked away among the tall pines nestled on a mountainside comprised of 60 acres is one of the most unique private estates in all of Utah. This crown jewel of Upper Deer Valley is 22,000 square feet and residence is constructed of reclaimed logs from the Yellowstone Park area. This home comes elegantly furnished with 12 bedrooms, 2 bunk bedrooms (20 mattresses), 16 bathrooms, large great rooms, dining room seats 20, indoor pool, fitness center, library, children’s playrooms, 6 and 22 car garages, and more. Ideal for family compound or development. Contiguous parcels are 40.69 acres with home, 19.53 acres which can be subdivided into 16 possible ski lots OR kept for privacy.”
